A kitchen on a houseboat is quite a novel design brief. The existing wooden floor and vaulted ceiling make quite a statement in themselves. The pale cream gloss wall cupboards and the wenge base units and island complement the existing wood tones perfectly and the light coloured composite stone work tops reflect the natural light from above. To maximise workspace and the view the island is positioned next to the large glass doors and incorporates a seating area with barstools. The wall cabinets house a double oven and coffee machine. A bold orange glass splashback makes the final colour statement.
